Because of the Levante winds we quickly left Gibralter for Marbella, and at last had 4 well deserved days of rest (that sentence could be difficult to swallow for those of you reading this in the office!). Apart from enjoying tapas and relaxing on the beach we very luckily managed to obtain a proper aluminium pasarella for the boat - indespensable in the Med. New, this pasarella would have cost 650 euros but thanks to my Spanish and Vanessas puppy dog eyes it cost two new wheels and and an hours work! On Saturday morning we started the passage to Marina del Este, a small port in a beautiful area (with a price that was not so beautiful) and prepared Hotel Endorfin for the arrival of our guests. The first night everyone slept on the boat and the following day Rafa, Eliana and Pablito (Vanessa's brother, sister-in-law and nephew) moved to their reserved hotel.
An intense week followed in which we visited the cities of Grenada and Málaga, as well as the beaches surrounding the port. This week we have also converted to stow-aways in the hotel (name protected), not only did we enjoy all of its 4 star facilities (pools, jacuzzi, heated pool) but also a fantastic buffet, for which we intended to pay but in the end a smile was enough!
Now, we're waiting for the wind to drop allowing us to head to Murcia for another week of family, pools and buffets, but this time all above board!!
