Hurt Sailors Pride

We had a forecast of up to force 5 against us in the straights today, which was never going to be comfortable (plus wind over tide for those in the know) but we stuck our nose out of the bay and were met by a force 6 gusting 7. That was enough for us to turn on our heels and head back to port. So here we are. forecast in the straight is much better tomorrow and once we get out of the straights things look really quite calm. We are however using up valuable margin against our arrival date!! Those who have sailed with me will know I'm quite prudent on weather decisions (some would say soft!!) Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

  1. Afternoon Skipper and 1st Mate (or should that be Best Mate). Sorry to hear about the weather and we know the implications of that decision but your safety has to come first and we will keep our fingers crossed for fair winds on Sunday - Father's Day of course. Let's hope his wind is fair too. Ho. Ho. Talk to you both soon. Keep your chin up. LOL xx
