On the algarve!

Got into vilamora yesterday after a relatively wind less motor from gibralter. Hot sunshine on route with dolphins and, fortifications first time, sea turtles. See photo. We're currently on a short 6 hour passage to lagos and I'm hoping that we make it in in time for me to catch the second half of the england game!

and we're off to Portugal! Should arrive late tomorrow. still blowing from the west but we can make some progress against it now!

Getting Soft!!

Only force 5 westerley in the straights today but becoming light and easterly tomorrow, so we've decided to miss out one of our stops in Portugal and wait here again instead of bow bashing in the Gibralter straight...... Of course, having just finished a pint of cold cider in the sunshine, that was a really difficult decision. Thank you to my good friend Darren for the words of encouragement on our prudent sailing strategy. (see comment on previos post!)
