Managed to leave cascais yesterday in headwinds and big swell and pushed on to a fishing port where the harbour master gave us a free berth for the night, which was nice.
Now en route to figueira da foz where we should arrive just before the start of the portugal spain game. I've got our big spanish flag ready but Vanessas not so keen on sporting it in the pub!
If the weather is half decent tomorrow then we stand a real chance of getting to villagarcia on the last day!

Still in Cascais
I promise I'm not getting soft. The waves really are quite big and its pure coincidence that we're not going to sea when england take on our old foes this afternoon.
In all seriousness, we're having a spot of bad luck with a force 6 from the north having built a sea of 2.5 metres on our bow that would make life a little uncomfortable. It looks set to die down tomorrow and that would leave us just enough time to get to villagarcia before our deadline. If not, then the boat stays in portugal and alvaro (Vanessas cousin) and I will be back next week to finish the job!
Come on england!

Off again.
A great afternoon/evening of football and portuguese tapas yesterday and we're at sea again now on the long haul to lisbon/cascais. Should arrive tomorrow afternoon. Wind is obviously on the bow as ever but at least the sun continues to shine!
